Upstay uses macOS-supported power assertions to prevent idle sleep. Nothing more. From Sweet Lemon Lab.

Your Mac should not sleep while the work is still running.

AI coding agents, builds, tests, Docker containers, downloads, and local scripts often keep working after you step away. Upstay prevents idle sleep so those jobs can finish normally.

Choose why your Mac should stay awake.

The default mode keeps the system awake, not the screen unlocked.

Keep Awake

Prevent system idle sleep while letting the display and lock screen behave normally.

Timed Sessions

Keep awake for 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or a custom duration.

Until Time

Keep awake until a specific time, then stop automatically.

While Process Runs

Keep awake while claude, docker, pnpm, python, or another process is running.

Run Command With Upstay

Start a command from Upstay and keep the Mac awake until it finishes.

Display Awake

Optionally keep the display on when you really need it.

Boring privacy, by design.

Upstay runs locally on your Mac. It does not require an account, does not send analytics, does not connect to Slack or Teams, and does not upload command output.

Keeps work running. Does not fake activity.

Upstay uses macOS-supported power assertions to prevent idle sleep. It does not move your mouse, press keys, fake Slack or Teams presence, or bypass your company’s screen-lock settings.

Your Mac can still lock normally. Your display can still turn off. Your background work can keep running.

Built-in battery safety.

Upstay can warn when running on battery, stop below a chosen battery level, or only keep awake while plugged in.

Questions, answered plainly.

Does Upstay keep me active on Slack or Teams?

No. Upstay does not fake presence, move your mouse, press keys, or interact with chat apps.

Does it stop my Mac from locking?

No. Your lock screen and password settings still work normally.

Can the display still turn off?

Yes. In the default mode, the display can sleep while the system stays awake.

Can it keep Claude Code running?

Yes. Use a timed session, a process watch for claude, or run the command through Upstay.

Does it collect data?

No. Upstay has no login, no telemetry, no analytics, and no cloud service.

Can it prevent sleep when I close the lid?

No. Upstay is for idle sleep. Lid close, low battery, explicit Sleep, and admin policies may still sleep the Mac.
